A wonderful snow scene with the rich red colors of the bridge contrasting the white snow and blue sky. A single figure crosses the bridge in a traditional kimono. This is among Hasui’s best prints and a favorite snow scene.

Kobe Nagata Jinja Yagumobashi (The Yagumobashi Bridge at Kobe's Nagata Shrine) by Kawase Hasui. Genuine woodblock print dated October Showa 9 (1934). Later impression from original blocks. Fine condition. Oban size measures 15.5 x 10.2 incehs. Strong ink penetration on fine Hosho Washi. 7mm Watanabe seal in lower right of image. Red Heisei era Watanabe seal in right margin.
