ARTIST: Chikanobu.
FORMAT: Oban, Tate-e (14 by 9 ins).
DATE: 1896.
SERIES: Akawa-ma.
DESCRIPTION: Autumn leaves.
PUBLISHER: Fukuda Hatsujiro.
CONDITION: Minor marks and flaw, otherwise good impression colour and condition. Retains Japanese album backing.
This is a lovely print by Meiji era printmaker Chikanobu. The print is in good condition for its age, lightly album backed as was typical for his prints. There is some light creasing, but it is not particularly noticeable. There is mica printing in the fan that the girl holds in her hand.
