DESCRIPTION: Azumaya. Genji leaving his lover’s house in the rain.

CONDITION: Fine impression, colour and condition.

Format: Chuban tate-e: 10" x 7"

Subject: Prince Genji at a gate being greeted by a young bijin standing under an open umbrella.

Date: c. 1850

Condition: Very slightly trimmed. Album backing paper. Minor soils, marks and flaws. Generally very good state.

Colour: Fine colors.

Impression: Fine impression with gauffrage and mica.
