A nobleman opening a palanquin of her lover's, only to find maple branches with a note from her. DATE: ca.1860. PUBLISHER: Tsuta-ya. Note: From "Murasaki Shikibu Genji Karuta" ("Cards of The Tale of Genji by Murasaki Shikibu"), No. 16, "Sekiya". Prince Genji came back from the maple viewing excursion. He was surprised to find the bunch of beautiful maple twigs and a poem inside his palanquin.
