"MT. FUJI FROM YOSHIDA" 1958

Description: A beautiful image ! The Fuji scene is rendered in cool, soft colors; we look up a street in the falling dusk while sunlight still illuminates the top of the Mountain. A very calming image. The scene is masterfully printed with excellent "bokashi" shading and light "gauffrage" to the clouds and Fuji's flank.

Condition: This print is in pristine condition and comes from a group of prints held back in the publisher's stock until recently. It is likely a later mid-edition as it is printed on somewhat older paper. This print is in perfect condition - never been laid down, full margins, no tears, no folds, no creases, no foxing, no stains. The publisher is Unsodo as identified by the "gei watermark" in the lower left margin. The Carver / Printer is marked as Okura/Shinmi (identified in the seal). Image size 14 1/2" x 9 1/2".
