A road lined with trees running through ricefields, along which a man leads a horse carrying three women; Fuji in the distance.
This section of highway was lined with pine trees for the comfort of travellers. Through the trees, Mount Fuji was seen on the left-hand side of the highway and was popularly called "left Fuji".
