Gohyakurakan-ji temple from the series "Thirty-six Views of Mt. Fuji", by Katsushika Hokusai (7160-1849)

Mt. Fuji can be seen clearly off in the distance across the lake. Whether seen from afar or from close up, Mt. Fuji is a beautiful shape. Here its a little triangular form that sits squarely on the horizon line. A viewing platform thrust out over the lake surface provides a gathering spot for travelers, where they can each gaze out at the mountain to their heart's content.
