Yoshida Toshi- Kikuzaka Street- 1.jpg is:

Offered for sale is a wonderful, pencil signed Japanese woodblock print by Toshi Yoshida (1911-1995). It is titled Kikuzaka Street, and is dated 1939 in the margin in Japanese. According to materials from the Yoshida Hanga Studio, the blocks for this design were self-cut by Toshi, himself. Toshi Yoshida is the eldest son of Hiroshi Yoshida, one of the preeminent shin hanga school masters, and in the last few years since his death, has finally been achieving the recognition that bypassed him during his lifetime.

This print is in very good condition, with no condition issues to note, aside from some light crinkling in the sky. The image measures approximately 6 5/8 by 9 5/8 inches, plus margins.

Recently, many posthumous Toshi Yoshida designs have been offered for sale. This print is guaranteed to be a PENCIL SIGNED, lifetime edition, and therefore more valuable!!
