This block print was found in an original envelope from publisher S. Watanabe, Ginza, Tokyo.

The envelope was safely stored flat in a portfolio and I will be auctioning the Watanabe envelopes too.

Circa 1920's or 30's or earlier? And in Near mint condition.

Hopefully a close-up of the artists signature will help you identify him.

This wood block print measures 5" x 7 1/4" and total size including paper it's glued on is 6 13/16" x 9 1/4".

This print is glued to under sheet along top.		 From the 1936 edition of the book. Thanks to Doug Tappin for this image. This print is from the 2nd edition of the book published in the 1955.
