Early Japanese Woodblock Print Shotei

Guaranteed Original Japanese Woodblock Print by Takahashi Shotei (1871-1945) The title of this print is "Country by Night" and it is about 6.75 x 9.5 inches in size and framed in a vintage 15.5 x 12.5 inch frame. Our research shows this print to be listed as "Night Scene of Mabashi," near Tokyo with a vintage of pre-1936. The colors of the print are bright and rich and it and the frame are in very good condition. The rear backing of the frame will need rebacked with paper. This beautiful print was purchased by us at the estate sale of a 100 year old lady who had traveled widely in her younger years.

Old wood block print in frame under glass. Outside frame size is 11 3/4" x 14 3/4" - Picture size is 7" x 10". Overall condition is good, color is nice & bright, the print is slightly wavy & stuck to the mat, the mat is stained.
