Kawase Hasui Evening Snow at Edogawa
After the yellow Hasui seal that came up last week I checked my prints and surprisingly found a blue (no, I didn't drink much that day) Hasui seal. Signature is dark blue, the seal light blue. It comes from the monochrome blue version "Evening Snow at Edogawa", and even all the Doi seals are kept in blue.

"Evening Snow at Edo River (aizuri-shades of blue)"
-1932
Print size 15.5" x 10.5"
(Full Oban)
Post-War Strike ORIGINAL
Pristine gallery condition. Full margins; never laid down no tears, folds, creases or foxing. This print is perfect in every way.
Good bleed through to verso. Complete with HASUI signature and sui. Authenticated by the Doi Eiichi rectangular publisher's seal and double off-set carver/printer seal and watermark in upper right corner. This incredible HASUI print depicts two bijin (beautiful women) crossing the Edo River in the snow. The stark gleaming white snow contrasts dramatically with the brilliant blue of the water and sky.
