You are bidding on a very beautiful Japanese woodblock print “Clear-Stone Harbor” from Tsuchiya Koitsu (1870-1949) in March Showa 13 (1938). The print size is 16 3/4 x 11 1/4 inches. The colors, which are vivid and vibrant, are in layers. The artist’s signature and his chop stamp are at the lower right corner of the print. All four borders are intact. In the lower right border, the Japanese writing says the name of this woodblock print “Clear Stone Harbor” and the statement “Made in March Showa 13”, which is 1938. This woodblock print is not attached to backing paper or cardboard and strong ink bleeding can be seen through the back of print. Except for a minor diagonal wrinkle at the upper left corner of the print; one minor diagonal wrinkle at the lower right part of the print; and a couple of small wrinkles at the upper right corner of the print, this woodblock print is in good condition.
