Very nice color woodcut by KOITSU TSUCHIYA (1870-1945), noted Japanese printmaker. It is a scene, I think, of Mt. Fuji in the snow. I do not know the date but with photos of all the seals those in the know should be able to figure it out. DIMENSIONS: Plate or Image: 9 1/2 x 14 1/4" Sheet: 10 1/2 x 15 1/2" MATTING/FRAMING/HINGING: Tacked with spot of glue to support sheet in upper margin corners; unframed. CONDITION: Colors quite bright and fresh; looks like full margins: deckle edge on top and right side. |
