Notes (this edition)
These notes were written by the original owner/seller/auctioner of the item and may be inaccurate.:
Guaranteed orginal Japanese woodblock print by the shin hanga artist Kawase Hasui. Series: Selection of Scenes of Japan. Date: 1922. Print bears the publisher Watanabe "6mm" seal which in pre-earthquake designs indicates that this is an early/original impression and not a later lifetime or posthumous edition. Design measures 9.25" x 12". Very good color and excellent impression & condition. See images. NOTE: There is a later design by Hasui of a similar scene. This is most definitely the pre-earthquake design.
Condition: Fine impression and state; very good color. Slightly faded..
