Notes (1st edition)Artist: Narazaki Eisho Date: March 1932 Subject: "Asakusa Kanzeon Temple" Publisher: Watanabe Format: Oban design measures 10" x 15" Both pre-war and post-war strikes exist. Sometime between the usage of the C and D seals, the date carving was removed (perhaps due to damage?).

This is a gorgeous shin hanga woodblock print by Japanese printmaker Eisho Narazaki; it depicts the interior of the Asakusa temple. The print is an original prewar print, which bears the "C" seal of the publisher Watanabe in the lower lefthand corner. The print measures about 14 1/4 x 9 1/2 plus full margins. Excellent color and impression! Condition is good; there is some light toning in the margins and some very minor tape residue which is virtually unnoticeable
They each measures aprox. 10 1/4x15 1/2,with frame 14x20. Please look close to pics(Can not read Japanese). At least 50 years old if not earlier. All are in good condition,some minor sun burn. Artist: Nazaraki Eisho

Condition: Excellent color, impression, Slight toning.

NOTE: Unusual artist. Strong design.

Condition: Very fine impression and color; fine state. Slightly soiled at upper corner of top margin. Paper hinge residue on reverse, top corners..
Notes: ILLUSTRATED : JAPANESE WOODBLOCK PRINTS, by Shizuya Fujikake, 1954; page 95. Proffessor Fujikake states, "His (Narazaki) most representive work is the one showing the interior of the Asakusa Kannon Temple, a print of high quality both in composition and color effect".
