	Artist Bio:	A particularly talented bijin-ga scroll painter. 松井　桜塘<まつい　おうとう> 明治34年(1901年)～昭和58年(1983年)京都に生まれる。 名は親次。 別号に虚水、湖南。 京都市立絵画専門学校卒業。 のち下鴨研究所に入所し、鹿子木孟郎に師事する。 また土田麦僊の山南塾に入り、木島桜谷・大橋翠石・五姓田芳柳らにも師事する。 昭和15年頃以降は美人画が多い。 昭和58年歿。 享年82歳。
