ou are bidding on a Kaoru Kawano Woodblock or Woodcut print entitled "My Pet Horse." This rare smaller limited edition print (most are Double-Oban) is pencil signed, and numbered 53 of edition of 300. It was carved and printed by the artist in the late fifties. It is a perfect image, on bright paper. The print is very nicely laid down on black linen heavy card stock. This is a very rare image by Kawano.

Artist Bio: 
Kaoru Kawano was a very popular artist for his distinctively styled depictions of figures, especially children. He uses the wood grain patterns to lender the textures and the mood to the works.
