This scene is from the original pre-war series by the publisher Nishinomiya Shoin. It usually contains the official round red seal in a margin. Artist signature (hand-written) and seal within the printed area.

Description From "Showa Shokugyo E-zukushi" ("Sketches of Occupations in Showa Era"), "Heishi" (Soldiers), "Yukan Uri" (Evening News Paper Seller).
The first of this large series was published by Nishinomiya Shoin in 1938 - 1943. It was very popular and even featured on the Asahi Newspapers every time the new design was published. It was interrupted by World War II. After the war, Kyoto Hanga-in made the continuation of it.
Signature "Sanzo" hand-signed by the artist in black ink.
Seal Artist's seal.
Dated 1939.
Publisher Nishinomiya Shoin.
Medium/Technique Woodblock print.
Impression Excellent - very good … First edition printing.
Colors Very good.
Condition Very good … Light foxing. Top corners are pasted on the original presentation paper.
Note The print comes with the original description paper in Japanese and in English.
