Kato " ( with the styalized H like K - see attached example of other work ): image / sheet size; 13 1/2 x 10 inches ( 34.5 x 25.5 cm ): sheet also inscribed verso in pencil " Kentaro Kato 1912 ": original fine circa 1912 frame: frame size: 14 3/4 x 11 1/8 inches ( 37.5 x 28.5 cm ). A rare work by this short lived master in his early traditional style ( 1912 ).

	Artist Bio:	Kentaro Kato was born in 1889 in Japan. Kato studied under noted American watercolorist, Henry Read. Kato exhibited in the Art Institute of Chicago, the National Academy of Design He died in New York City in 1926.
