The following information was taken from the original web listing of this artwork. Note that there may be some inaccuracies:

Antique Early 20thC Japanese Stormy Night Woodblock Print. The back of this print has a tag that reads Stormy Night, Artist-Hodo. i am not sure if the label is accurate or who the artist refers to so look at the pictures of the signature and you guys can be the judge. The water color is signed and titled. The scene depicts a stormy night in a Japanese village with a man and a woman walking quickly by a bridge on the way to get out of the rain. This woodblock was done right around the 1920s. The print has been professionally framed and matted in a gilt wood frame that measures 23" in height, 14 3/4" in width, and is 1 1/4" in depth. The print measures 14 1/4" in height and is 6 3/8" in width. The print is in great condition with no rips, tears, or stains, and just has a few light creases which are hard to notice.

Artist Bio:
Nishimura Hodo is most likely the watercolour artist Saito Hodo. See my discussion of Saito Hodo here.
