Description From the series, "Fuji Juni Kei" (Twelve Views of Mt. Fuji).

At the height of the skills of woodblock print production, the masters such as carver Bonkotsu, printer Kumakichi Nishimura could simulate even the fluid brush strokes and the overlapped translucent colors of watercolor paintings. These technical mastery was one of the foundations for the popular but short-lived "Sketch Tour" genre and later the famed Shin Hanga movement.
Signature "Hiro" in the image.
Dated 1907.
Publisher Kanao Bun'en-do (Renowned publisher for the fine art prints and books).
Medium/Technique Woodblock print.
Impression Excellent.
Colors Very good.
Condition Very good … Top edge is pasted on the presentation paper. Light foxing. Slight discolorations.
Note Carver Inoue Bonkotsu. Printer Nishimura Kumakichi. The title in Japanese was printed on a strip of paper and pasted on the back of the stiff presentation paper.
