Date: 1930s, designed, carved and printed by the artist
Size: dai-oban, approx. 11" x 17.25"
Condition: VG, creases and minor flaws as shown, excellent example of a rare Asuga design
Impression: Fine, excellent registration and good surface texture.
Color: Fine, deep saturated color and bleed through to verso
Exceptional bijin-ga design by sosaku hanga artist Manjiro Asuga.

Artist Bio: 
Manjiro Asuga was born in Kyoto and was the second elder brother of another famous sosaku hanga artist, Maekawa Senpan. Although he was active in sosaku hanga circle as his brother, he was more interested in the traditional Japanese motifs such as Noh theatre, Otsu-e.
