Original Pre-War JAPANESE WATERCOLOR - S. Niimi c.1930's -CHERRY BLOSSOM -SHIP -Saburo Niimi
Exquisite pre-war circa 1930's original watercolor painting by Japanese artist S. Niimi. It is in excellent, undamaged condition and measures 9" by 12.5." Depicting a tranquil lakeside scene with Cherry Blossom trees in bloom, a seaside home and boats on the still river......just gorgeous! Signed on the lower left in ink "S. Niimi" one of the finer Pre War Japanese Watercolor artists. Not much is know about him but his work is of very fine quality. I purchased five vintage Japanese watercolors from a collector that are being listed separately. |
