This Japanese watercolour is a wonderfully vibrant autumnal scene of the river and the bridge to Nikko by N. Keiho. The time of year is early autumn when some of the trees have turned color, but not all. This piece only measures approx. 13 1/2" x 10" but what it lacks in size, it more than makes up for with its colorful impact. The piece is in very good condition with only a very minimally noticeable mat line and very slight toning around the sky area. There is one slightly darker spot on the mountain to the right of the reddish tree on the left and the back shows some toning from previous matting materials. There are also a few dark speckles on the back and one spot that looks like moisture, possibly done by the artist
