Title One Hundred Famous Views of Kuwana No.31- Scenery at next to Kangaku Temple on Mt. Hashirii Artist Tadahiro Hashiba 1894-1989 Signature "Hashiba, Kuwana" embossed on the presentation folder. Dated 1956. Medium/Technique Woodblock print.
Description From the series, "Kuwana Hyakkei" (One Hundred Famous Views of Kuwana). Tadahiro Hashiba intended to make 100 designs for this series, but it was ended around 70 designs. The series was picked up later and was changed the name to "Kuwana Fubutsu Shi" (The Poems of the Land and the Things in Kuwana).
"Hashirii-zan Kannon Yoko Keshiki". The artist stated, "It is around the time of the vivid new greens. The scenery is full of green leaves. The orchard, mixed groves, bamboos and weeds filled the valley in front. I could hear the voice of spring cicada from somewhere".
