Artist Hideaki Kato born 1954 Signature "H. Kato" signed by artist in pencil on the lower margin. Seal "Hide" embossed on the lower right area of the bottom margin. Dated 2003. Publisher Self-published by artist. Medium/Technique Silkscreen.
Numbered 200 Description "Fuyu no Tabi". Snow is covering the landscape around the Kiyomizu Temple. The artist stated, "It had lots of corrections. The most difficult one was the color. After numerous trying, I finally succeeded to make a dreamy, illusionistic scene".
Note Hideaki Kato and his father, Yuichiro, are the well known silk screen artists in kyoto. They have depicted the quintessent scenery, tranquil tea rooms and enigmatic noh theaters around their beloved Kyoto for decades.

Born in 1954 in Kyoto. Kato Hideaki is a self-taught artist with some instruction from his father, he has mastered silkscreen printing. Uchida began to publish his work after 1982. Temple scenes are frequently seen along with other sights of Kyoto. He employs the integration of photographs into the silkscreen process. (as did Andy Warhol). His works are all limited editions.
