ESTATE ANTIQUE ORIGINAL JAPANESE WOODCUT WOODBLOCK PRINT OF QUAI D' ORSAY BY URUSHIBARA. URUSHIBARA: A JAPANESE WHO FOLLOWS THE BEST TRADITIONS OF KUNISADA, HIROSHIGE AND UTAMARO. HE HAS ALSO WORKED IN LONDON AND SUCCESSFULLY REPRODUCED IN COLOR WOOD CUTS SOME OF THE PAINTINGS OF FRANK BRANGVN, R.A. FAMOUS ENGLISH ARTIST. FROM THE POINT OF VIEW OF TECHNIQUE HE HAS NEVER BEEN SUROASSED. IN ADDITION TO HIS REPRODUCTIVE WORK HE HAS CONTRIBUTED SOME OF THE MOST INTERESTING ORIGINAL PRINTS OF RECENT YEARS. THE ACTUAL SIZE IS 9 1/4 X 12 1/4 INCHES. IT IS SIGNED AND NUMBERED 69 ON THE BORDER AS YOU SEE IN THE CLOSE UP PHOTOS. THE PRINT IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION. |
