Description From the Series, "Ima Sugata" (Present Forms). "Omairi" (Visit to a Temple). A beauty is holding a plate with beans. A flock of birds are flying in looking for the chance for a snack. -- Shoun was an artist during the transition period of the art scene in Japan. Separated from the rigid ukiyo-e tradition, Shoun depicted the beauties and children in his distinctly warm, happy manners.
