Notes: An old boat anchored on the shores of a small canal. In the background a shabby shack. An impression from rural China. Although the subjects that Wang Jianjun paints are simple, his paintings have an astonishing atmosphere that create nostalgia. Reminds me a bit of German Romanticism in early 19th century
