Artist Bio: 

渡辺幾春 watanabe ikuharu 明治28年(1895)~昭和50年(1975) 明治二十八年、名古屋市西区江川端町に生まる。九歳で名古屋の日本画家水谷芳年に絵を学ぶ。明治四十三年、名古屋市立第一高等小学校卒業後、京都に出て山本春挙に師事。大正七年、第12回文展に《百日紅》が初入選。大正11年、京都市立絵画専門学校別科に入学する。大正十四年卒業後、名古屋市中区に居を移し、名古屋在住の朝見香城、喜多村麦子、織田杏逸らと当地方の日本画の革新を求めて中京美術院を創設。昭和九年、三十九歳で東京に転居の後も、文展に入選するなど実力を発揮する。昭和二十七年、名古屋市千種区徳川山町三丁目に居を移す。中京画壇を代表する日本画家。
