Impression Excellent - very good.
Colors Excellent … brass colored metallic pigment on the background, parts of hair ornament and kimono.
Condition Very good … Slightly creased. Slight foxing on the margins.

Artist Bio: 
Hisako Kajiwara was one of the excellent pupil of Kukuchi Keigetsu. Her distinctive depiction of beauties received many awards from Teiten, Nitten. She was awarded the great contributor of culture award from Kyoto city in 1976.
梶原緋佐子 かじわら-ひさこ 明治29年~昭和63年(1896-1988) 大正-昭和時代の日本画家。 明治29年12月22日生まれ。菊池契月の門にはいる。 木谷千種、和気春光とともに、菊池塾の三閨秀といわれ、 師の没後は白申社に属した。 大正期は国画創作協会・帝展で力作を残す。 昭和22年日展で「晩涼」が特選となる。 舞妓や芸妓をテーマとした作品をおおくえがいた。 昭和51年、京都市文化功労者に選ばれる。 昭和63年1月3日死去。91歳。 京都出身。京都府立第二高女卒。本名は久。
