Notes: From "Nichiren Seijin Goichidai Ki Gafu" (Picture Album of the Life of Holy Priest Nichiren).
Nichiren had stayed in Minobu for 9 years. His health was declining and he decided to take a rest in a warmer area. In 1282, he and his followers passed Mt. Fuji and arrived at Ikegami in Bushu province.
This project of woodblock print version of Nichiren's life was started in 1957 and finished in 1959. The set of 46 prints was distributed to about 400 Nichiren School temples
