Condition: Full size. Signed and numbered from an edition of 200 by the Artist in pencil on the verso and sealed within the image. Small areas of adhesive remnants on the top back corners. Very Good state. Color: Excellent. Impression: Fine with extensive mica. |

Kamei Tobei studied at Kyoto Kaiga Semmon Gakko. He was a founding member of the Kyoto Sosaku Hanga Kyokai. With Tomikichiro Tokuriki and Kotozuka Eiichi he established his own publishing company to support the selling of Sosaku Hanga prints. In 1953 Kamei followed an old Japanese artist tradition and changed his name - to Genbei Kamei.
