Mt. Fuji from Gotenba - self-carved/printed/published

If in the last 30 years, you have seen or purchased 2 or 3 YOKOUCHI prints, then you are as LUCKY as I. If you'll read the bio at the end of this listing, you'll understand the RARITY. This is an UNBELIEVABLE print. The COMPLEXITY and COLOR is the 'GOLD STANDARD' for shin-hanga prints. A very DELICATE 'bokashi' to the sky against the darker values in the foreground. Very close register in a highly detailed print. STRONG COLOR and IMPRESSION. The face and verso are UNMARKED. Noted at the top of the verso is a quarter sized area of very light paper loss, which is NOT visible from the face. It is the typical result of removing a 'tipped' print from its' presentation folder without wetting the area. The overall CONDITION is VERY FINE+++++. Pictures shown are accurate for COLOR and CONDITION. Two drying holes in the top margin. The paper is a heavy 'laid-line' washi. The image is: 9 5/8 x 14 7/8 inches or 24.4 x 37.8 cms with full margins as originally published.
