This is a beautiful woodblock print by noted bijin-ga hanga printmaker Kajiwara Hisako, unusual among bijin-ga printmakers in that she is a woman. It measures about 14.5 x 10.25" image size plus margins. Signed and sealed in the image. Very nice color, impression and condition. Minor archival tape verso (the black parts that you see on the design are actually not the tape; they are inked areas from the printmaking process; the tape is white).

Artist Bio:
Hisako Kajiwara was one of the excellent pupil of Kukuchi Keigetsu. Her distinctive depiction of beauties received many awards from Teiten, Nitten. She was awarded the great contributor of culture award from Kyoto city in 1976.
