琴塚英一 木版画 京都雪八景 その8★三条大橋

琴塚英一「京都雪八景」(内田版、全8作品)から1作品ずつ出品します。制作年代は明確には分かりませんが、昭和期の古いものであることは確かです。

台紙サイズ:約43.4×30.5(cm)
作品(版画紙)サイズ:約36~37×25前後(cm)

作品は全体的には綺麗な状態ですが、一部に多少の薄シミが見受けられます(作品上又はマージン部付近)。鑑賞の妨げになる程のものはないと思います。台紙は経年のヤケ、薄シミなどがあります。

Artist Bio: KOTOZUKA, EIICHI was born in Osaka in 1906. He studied at the Kyoto Specialist School of Painting and in the late 1940s was one of the four artists who founded a co-operative publishing company called Koryokusha in an effort to gain an artistic expression free of the major houses. Tokuriki, Tobei and Tasaburo were the other three involved. He has created quite a number of woodblocks covering unique scenes of Japanese tradition, flowers, landscapes and wildlife. He was a member of the Seiryusha Group of Liberal Artists and Died in 1979.
