Note that there may be some inaccuracies: Sunday, 10 April 2011 From the novel Pledge by Yanagawa Shun'you (first volume). 妖艶な美人の木版画では右に出る者がいなかった鰭崎英朋。 英朋の木版画といえば泉鏡花の単行本が有名ですが、最も多くの美人画が柳川春葉の単行本の多色刷木版口絵として世に出ました。 出品本は、その春葉本英朋木版画の中でも秀逸の作品が入った『誓』前編です。大正4年至誠堂刊で再版・函付。 本書は見ることが少なく、山田奈々子著『木版口絵総覧』の英朋作品リストにも記載がありません。とりわけ函付は、初版再版を問わず極めて稀でございます。 美本です。
