Medium/Technique Woodblock print. Impression Excellent - very good ... Printed on a thick Hosho paper. Colors Excellent. Condition Very good ... Margins lightly creased. Edition Size 300 Numbered 77 / 300 Description From the "Sunadokei" ("Sand Clock") series, "Nude and Kimono". The western clothing cuts the materials along the curve of the body. But Japanese kimonos has only the straight cut material. It emphasizes the soft curve of the body by wearing it in an artful manner. Note Carver Matsuda Shunzo, printer Takenaka Seihachi. Tamai Izumi graduated from Kyoto Municipal Art College and established Izumi Design Studio. She educated many designers and book illustrators in her Soseimura business. Many illustrations from publishers (Kodansha, Sekai Bunkasha, Sanrio, etc.). Illustrated for the NHK TV drama, "Kyo Futari".
