Yuzi and Persimmons limited edition, hand signed Artist Toru Mabuchi 1920-1994
Description "Yuzu to Kaki". Persimmons, citrus and still life.
Toru Mabuchi was a fine technician and could do elaborate printing using thirty to fifty printing stages. He did not want to use only the traditional method. Since he had been interested in the Byzantine mosaics and the pointillist paintings of Seurat, he developed a printing technique by using small pieces of wood pasted on print blocks like mosaic stones.
Signature "Toru Mabuchi" hand signed in white pencil on the top right. Dated 1965. Medium/Technique Woodblock print.
Edition of 100 Width Item 24.4 inches = 62.0 cm Height Item 18.6 inches = 47.2 cm |
