Comments - Handsome kuchi-e illustration of a samurai standing next to his horse, one hand resting on the animal's mane. He looks down with a wistful expression, biting his lower lip with his teeth. Lovely brushwork in the mane, giving it a soft, shaggy appearance. A nice design with a muted color palette.

Artist - Hirezaki Eiho (1881 - 1970)
Image Size - 6 1/2" x 9 3/8"
Condition - With excellent color and detail. A couple of light creases in subject. Some light soiling at edges. Please see photos for details. Nice overall.
