YOSHIMOTO 1920'S Rough Blue Duds is pleased to offer this Japanese watercolor--a rural scene with a stream in the foreground, which leads the eye back to a group of buildings on the left. There is a flowering tree beside the building and more buildings and a hill in the background. The watercolor is signed H. Yoshimoto. He was a member of the school of Western style artists that was active in Japan in the 1920’s. The painting measures approx. 12 by 9 inches, and it was executed on a piece of wove paper. The watercolor is in good condition with no creases or tears. The paper is slightly yellowed and there is some acid burn around the edges of the sheet.
