Note that there may be some inaccuracies: Saturday, 8 May 2010 Japanese woodblock print, Iwata Sentaro. Measures about Measures about 15 x 11” image size plus full margins. Never framed; still in its original presentation folder, and therein lies the problem. As the folder is not acid free, there is some foxing to the image, and the print could really use a good cleaning. Also, there is a small tear in the lower right corner margin, where the print is tipped to the folder (it does not affect the image). Strong colors and impression.
	Artist Bio:	岩田専太郎 いわた-せんたろう 1901－1974　大正-昭和時代の挿絵画家。 明治34年6月8日生まれ。伊東深水にまなび、20歳のとき博文館の「講談雑誌」に挿絵をかく。 大正15年から「大阪毎日新聞」連載の吉川英治「鳴門秘帖(なるとひちょう)」の挿絵が評判をよび、 モダン浮世絵とよばれる美人画はその後幅ひろい支持をえた。 挿絵はほかに大仏(おさらぎ)次郎「赤穂(あこう)浪士」、川口松太郎「蛇姫様」などがある。 昭和49年2月19日死去。72歳。東京出身。 画集に「三百年のおんな」、随筆に「女・おんな・女」「わが半生記」など。
