Absolutely breathtaking woodblock print by noted contemporary Kyoto printmaker Masao Ido. This is one of the nicest Ido images I have seen to date, huge and exquisitely printed, with gold metallic mica pigment in the background, and silver metallic mica pigment in the cherry blossoms, giving the print an intensely shimmery quality when illuminated. Pencil signed and numbered 65/88, a small edition size used for only his special printings. Dated 1993. The print measures about 15 x 22 plus full margins. Framed at Ido's framing studio, using only archival materials.
