You are bidding on an EXTRA LARGE very beautiful, and special original Japanese Shin Hanga woodblock print “Camellia No 1” sized by the famous Japanese Shin Hanga woodblock print Master Ikeda Shuzo (1922 -) published by CHIKUHO-DO, YOKOHAMA made around 1970s.

The size of this woodblock print is 17 1/2 x 12 1/4 inches, which is larger than the traditional Shin-Hanga woodblock prints. This woodblock print is not attached to any backing paper or cardboard and strong ink bleeding through can be seen from the back of the original mulberry paper. The artist’s signature is at the lower left corner of the print while the title of the print “Camellia, No 1” and the publisher’s chop mark “CHIKUHO-DO, YOKOHAMA” are in the bottom border. Except for two very minor and light horizontal creases in the images; and one vertical crease about 1/4 inch outside in the images in the border, which does not affect the images, this woodblock print is in excellent condition.
