Subject: From the series, Rien no Hana Kagatobi - Flowers of the Theatrical World.
Kabuki actor Ichikawa Shocho II in the onnagata - male as female, role of the beauty Matsutsuta no Ohman.
Publisher: Watanabe Shozaburo
Date: 1921
Condition: Full size. Light unobtrusive horizontal crease towards base. Generally fine state.
Colour: Fine
Impression: Fine with a finely crushed silver mica background (one of only two prints from the twelve in the series which have mica)
Other Notes: Embossed with the number sixty-nine from the only editon of 150 produced prints. Prints from this series are very rare as the blocks were destroyed in Tokyo's 1923 earthquake.
