She is the daughter of the famed shin hanga landscape artist Shiro Kasamatsu. Mihoko's prints are primarily of animals and she often presents them with very human-like qualities in amusing motifs. She carves and prints her own work much like her father did in the later half of his career, and her editions are usually limited to only 60 impressions.
