Condition Very good … light paper toning; foxing, discolorations and ink spots on margins, margins lightly creased and wrinkled.
Description Multi colored lithograph prints for "Tokyo Meisho" (Famous Places of Tokyo). The courtesans in the pleasure quarter, Shin Yoshiwara, are parading with their assistants in the Nakamachi street. It had been the main event of the day at Shin-Yoshiwara and called, "Oiran Dochu". This custom had been discontinued but was revived for the occasion of Taisho Expo in 1915. Here, they are showing off their beauties and gorgeous costumes … Look at their sky-high platform sandals!!.
