Friday, 30 November 2007

This is a beautiful original woodblock print, by noted orientalist printmaker Joshua Rome. Lovely colors, and a crisp impression. It is in really excellent condition; never framed or mounted in any way. It has spent its life in a rice paper folder in a drawer, a true time-warp print. It measures about 10.5 x 16" or so plus full margins. Signed lower right in pencil; dated 1989 and numbered 9/50; titled Akisaku.
