-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After WWII the workshop of Shozaburo Watanabe continued its association with several of its pre-war artists (most notably Kawase Hasui and Ito Shinsui), and added new ones including Ide Gakusui, Kikuchi Ryoji, and Muto Katei. Other than his birth year of 1910, little is known of the artist Muto Katei who designed this rarely seen Hasui-esque print of the village Futomi at nightfall. |
