The watercolour on paper is signed Yokouchi. Dimensions 32.3 x 24.5 cm. (12 3/4 x 9 3/4 in.).

Condition:
slight matte burning, chipped corners

TASUKE G. T. YOKOUCHI (1911 - ) CHINESE BRIDGE AT NIKKO
Early 20th century, Japan. This watercolour depicts the famous Shinkyo bridge at Nikko, the mountain town north of Tokyo that houses the mausoleum of shogun Tokugawa Ieyasu. It is signed Yokouchi (slight matte burning, chipped corners). Compare with a scene of Mt. Fuji by G.T. Yokouchi at Christie's, New York, December 16, 1993, lot 37. Dimensions 32.3 x 24.5 cm. (12 3/4 x 9 3/4 in.).
